Steven Hindle: Hope Lies at Home - Hope Lies at Home

Huge back-to-back coming out of the break with Tampa and Florida. A split is probably the most realistic hope, but 4 points would be terrific.

I like the fact that an Ovie-Backs-Green-less team was able to beat a tough Boston team at home. This should add some confidence on this road trip and could be their turning point for the road woes. If they can now win on the road without a number of their stars, then they might be able to turn the corner on their road game.

Not too many on Hockey Buzz - many go to other sites (if you're interested, I can send you the links ). The interesting thing on here is that there are a number of Caps Fans who post on Ek's blog but don't come over to Hindle's (which is crazy because Ek's stuff is silly rumors while Hindle does a terrific job of previewing/reviewing/analyzing).

Truthfully I would love to see more folks post on here but I don't have much time these days to worry about it. Though I'm very busy, I try to do my best to provide insight from the point of view of someone who's covered this team closely for half a decade. I'd love to provide more but simply don't have enough time or help to do so.

People are reading, just not so inclined to comment so it seems.

Whatever comments are made, I check them and take them into account. Needless to say, there are certainly a few of you whose opinions I appreciate.

We appreciate whatever you are able to put out there. Perhaps the lack of participation on here mirrors the general malaise surrounding the Caps these days. Maybe it will be a downer of a regular season like this, in which the Caps have to fight to the end just to get in the playoffs, which will finally result in a long playoff run and some renewed enthusiasm for the team on here.

I definitely look forward to every single one of your posts (especially the ones where you go into oft overlooked statistical analysis), which most people pass over. I recognize that takes alot of effort and I'm glad you like to share it with us.

I just wish you weren't sharing time with those pesky Hab fans! I suppose we can't live in a perfect world can we lol
